Does anybody know if they will sponsor work visas? Such as if you’re an American but apply for a Position with Norwegian in Paris? On their website it doesn’t say anything about current EU residence as a requirement

Their website might not mention it, but you can be assured the country in which you wish to be based will mention it. My guess is when/if you were to apply for such a position, the application will ask you have a right to live and work in the European Union/European Economic Area. If you cannot answer yes, I doubt you could even continue to submit the application.

I believe one can apply for a work visa. Of course its up to the country to which the application is made as to whether or not the visa will be approved. It has been accomplished in the past in 2004, 2005 and 2006 in the UK and Ireland.
