Good luck Ryan, Keep us posted on your progress.
I'll be heading taking a defense contract in Iraq to make some quick bucks while I wait for the aviation job market to turn around. Cheers, Tweet |
I'll let you know what I dig up... I recently hit up all the regionals over there too...
nada I got downgraded at ExpressJet due to our overstaffing... so I I am really ready to head down south as soon as I can.... |
PacBlue
Howdy,
Check your PM's mate. Sorry it's been a while but I can't access the site in China for some reason, so I have to do my APC'ing in Amsterdam or back home. Ciao |
Hi guys.
A CRJ FO here in the states. Married a kiwi. She is a FA for Air NZ. Looking to move to Akl and hopefully fly for Air Nz. Any suggestions. I hold an FAA Atp and need to do the conversion. Working on my nz PR. Any advice will help. Especially with the conversion. What's the best study material ? |
Holy thread resurrection Batman!!!
Haven't seen Koru or Tweet for a long time. Maybe they'll turn up. Kenny may know how to get ahold of them. I think he still posts every now and again and I think he's at Virgin Australia now. Good luck in any event. TP |
Any updates on anyone and their conversion ? I recently have gotten on with Virgin America on the a320. Hoping that with this type rating I can get on with Air New Zealand. My wife is still working as an FA for them. Just slowly working on the PR. Was busy the last few months with the new job and training. Hope everyone else is doing well. Feel free to PM so we can chat.
Also does anyone know if there have ever been an American pilot hired at Air New Zealand in the past that has done the conversions and what not ? |
Gday,
Haven't spoken to Koru since I moved back to the US. He is now a Captain at Virgin Australia, on the NZ side of the Tasman. I'll see if I can get a hold of him. You might want to try Pprune but put a flak jacket on. Have a look at Virgin Australia NZ. When I left the mothership (Virgin Australia), the word was that the NZ side were losing loads of FO's to the ME3. I'll PM you if I find Koru. |

Hi Kenny, Thanks, looks like Koru has not been on here for a while, but from reading all his post I hope I can get in touch with him. Also just sent you a PM! Cheers! |

Anyone needing information on the Air New Zealand Process send me a message or check out easy aviation theory. Recently did the interview and assessment days, was alot of hard work but definitely work it.
interested in your hours etc. Are you a kiwi or American with PR? How long ago did you apply and how long to hear back? Also I’m assuming this is for NZ Jets not the turboprops? Thanks in advance |
Relocating as an American
Has anyone gone from the US to Air New Zealand? Looking for information on moving down there and what the odds are to get a job there? My wife is eligible for a Tier 1 Greenlist job which If she landed a job would give me the right to live and work in New Zealand. Have an ATP, couple thousand hours, 1,000 plus jet, current captain on a 91 operator.
