Well the company told its employees that they must tow the pro-government line which is absurd.

These guys are fighting communism over there.

Alternatively, they are aiding and abetting it. Depends on which way you look at it I guess.

FTFY:

These guys are fighting a dictatorship over there.

The business model behind it isn't relevant, but surely isn't communism anymore.

Dictatorship the one word you seldom hear about on the news and people years ago were under the assumption that trading with them would slowly eradicate communism in that part of the world .
Didn't quite work out that way now did it ?

No. In fact trading with them has only made the Communist Party stronger.

Yeah, our fundamental gripe with communism was that they wanted to impose it on us, and everyone else.

PRC is run by an autocratic system, which wants to dominate it's neighbors in addition to it's people, but at least they don't have a vision of global domination. They want to be the dominate nation in the pacific and maybe the world, but they don't want to actually run the world.

No, they're much smarter than that. They're good at striking the balance, control without killing the goose.

You actually believe that?? The Chinese don’t want to run the world? One of the silliest things I have read on this forum.
