Default Air Canada Express Re-Org.

Do the pilots go with the planes in this move?

Yes I have friend that works at sky and as long ALPA and company agree the pilots will be moved over to jazz. Similar happened to georgian and jazz. Jazz will be the sole air canada express operator. Long ago jazz was part of air canada and the pilots were on mainline payscale flying rj however most of their pilots move on to air canada with their mobility agreement aka “flow”

Well that's good news (relative to what typically happens in the US).

Since Jazz has guys currently furloughed it’ll be interesting to see how the call backs happen. I would imagine that the Jazz pilots will want to see 100% recall before a single Sky Regional pilot sets foot on property.
With the strict border closure in Canada it’ll be a while before call backs.

I was just in Canada. Glad the government is going to help out Air Canada but I'm not sure taking an ownership stake and effectively re-nationalizing AC is anything but a mixed blessing. Canada seems to be going into perpetual national lock downs across the country right now and when I was there a few days ago there was talk that the west coast would eventually create its own bubble similar to the Atlantic provinces and pretty much shut itself off from the rest of the country. I admire Canada's discipline but if this was attempted in the lower 48 I'm pretty sure there'd be another civil war...
