Default Joining Qatar Airways After Covid

Anyone read this, is this accurate? I always knew the ME-3 were substandard to American carriers in terms of pay and overall quality of life at work and home, but this is unbelievable if true? Emirates similar to Qatar?

It's a very different culture there for sure. For one thing, you have no union protection and you can be terminated unjustly. Different rules for the locals given similar circumstances. I have friends at EK, EY, and Qatar Airways. Some have been there for decades and some a few years. It's not a bad ex-pat experience for most as long as you stay out of trouble. QOL is most definitely better at a U.S. legacy or LCC in terms of days off and earning potential. I don't discount what was written in the post and what some may have experienced.

I read it. Badly written, hard to read, full of mistakes and contradictions, and the author is an idiot, but I did read it.

He sold his house, only to return to find that it's rented to someone else? Didn't proof read his own fiction?

Sold his house before he had a contract in hand?

Had to search more than one manual for information? Shocking. First aircraft?

The poster is new, only five pprune posts to his credit, and little wonder.

Great story, some of which is familiar from those quarters, but not very credible, either.

Possibly trying to hide his identity from management? Didn’t that forum ban mentioning Ethiad at all? Or was it emirates?

People who think this isn't true have never worked for an airline in the Middle East.

I've spent my share of time all over the middle east, and am quite familiar.

The account reflected poorly on the author.

You mean the foreign/ME airline business? I’ve heard these kind of gripes many times about ME carriers. Gripes about US airlines are completely different. Haha
