Like many other people, I've watched with horror at the inferno that is happening in Southern California today. The news reports say that over 400,000 acres have been burned so far. I could not help but think about all the people who have lost their homes and my thoughts and prayers go to them as well as all the firefighters, both on the ground and in the air.

If there was ever a time to need the converted big birds, it is now. Heard that they used a DC-10 today.

I saw some video of the DC-10..impressive...not sure if it was file footage though.
