Default Foreign Airline CV

Hey Gang,

I'm curious, being an American and having never applied to work abroad, if there are different formats for CV's abroad, specifically NZ. I am really keen to get down there and I don't want to blow my chances on having my CV read as though I am an ignorant Yank. -CL

I don't think there is any difference. I was just an ignorant Canadian when I came down; short and sweet, just like anywhere else.

Mine was/is the standard 1 page resume...didn't seem to be an issue for me.

I contacted ANZ a couple of years ago - was told they will not sponser non-asiapacific citizens to fly for them. What are your plans for flying in NZ? I would immigrate in a heartbeat if it didn't mean getting medical training or some other "in-demand" career move.

RJ....Not sure who your question was directed to...I retire from the AF on 31 May. I hope to get on with Air NZ as soon as I can get my FAA ATP converted. My permanent residency is complete. Now I just need to take a few exams for the conversion. BTW using military experience is way harder then using civilian time. In the meantime I found a nice gig with good pay to fill the time untill I can finish the conversion.
