Not as long as Japan border restrictions remain as tight as a tsuzumi.

Those two were divisions of All Nippon Airways (ANA). Both gone when foreigners were no longer needed.

JAL is Japan Airlines. JAL also has a habit of dumping gaiijin when not needed. Which is often. Be aware that if you are a f/o at a foreign (non US) carrier you will be the bottom person on the flight deck. Especially if you are not native Japanese. Training at Japanese carriers used to take months and months, even if typed.

I have friends who flew for Asian carriers, particularly JALways. Good companies but you better be aware of the culture you are getting in to. And they were all captains.

The way things are now in the US market, I wouldn't recommend any expat job. This was a very good contract back in the day and I enjoyed working there very much. Regrettably, the contract now is substandard in my opinion.
