Thanks for the input. I have 250 tpic with 3,000tt and 2000 121 turbine...so we'll see...i'm a realistic optimistic person.

Default Sim/Interview Prep

Could someone please recommend a good company that deals with ANA's interview process. I am looking for interview prep and sim prep as well. I am not sure if Emerald consulting has handled many ANA guys.. Thanks..

A lot of good info on this forum? I just finished reading through the 82 pages and learned a lot! Now i have some couples of questions?

Has the insurance gig with Parc improved recently for those of us that have a family leaving in the U.S?

Let's say that if i was an employee there already and my wife come visit me and shortly after being in Japan she gets sick! Will she be covered by the insurance while being in japan in case she has to go to a hospital?

I have over 3500tt, 3000 turbine ME, 150 pic none turbine pic though, SIC type in the Dash 8 100/300, most likely with the competition i realize that i'm probably not competitive enough for a 76 slot, but wouldn't hurt if i try anyway i guess my bio needs to light them up like a flashlight in the dark!

But anybody has any info on the QOL for the guys on the Q400 there? Do they abuse the regional guys there like the do in the U.S? What kind of trip do you get if you fly the dash there(i mean 4, 3 days trips, Lenght of flying, report times, any infos would grately)?

Also do the regional guys there get discriminated by the mainline guys? The basic i'm mainline and i'm better than you turbo-prop drivers? In the U.S. it is so bad with that stuff that aviation is becoming depressing trying to work your way up these days?

Thanks to all of you guys for great consistent post, "Dominican, LostinAsia, and others", i'm getting my stuff ready and will send out an app, and see where it goes!

Paramount Aviation has a sim and interview prep - I do NOT recommend it. The sim info they send has a number of differences to the briefing info that Crew sent me (I went with the info from Crew). The guy that did my sim prep clearly did not know the AJV/X profiles and tried to get me to do other things. In the end I told him just work the sim I will do what I have learnt already from the briefing.

Have / would ana hire expats from the 767s (or off the street) to cross over onto the 777 or 747?

I'm getting a couple different answers with regard to the type rating requirement they have set. Parc is stating an A320/B737 or equivalent command type rating and the Crew just asks for a command type rating. I have a Part 91 corporate jet type rating so I'm hoping that will qualify. Any suggestions?

LIOG,

I emailed Crew and Parc a few weeks ago to ask about the Air Japan 767 FO contract. I do not quite meet the mins they "listed" but I figured I would ask. Both said that they hire folks with 737NG or A320 or equivalent experience. I too fly corporate and 135 charter and have a jet command TR and I don't qualify, guess it's off to the airlines for us!

If you do not meet the mins, your app won't be considered. The Japanese are very strict about their minimum requirements. I just wanted to make clear that the time on 737 or A320 is for direct entry captain, for F/O you only need a command type (regional jet is OK but no SIC Type) but you must have a background on airline operations, they won't look at corporate experience.

Thanks for the clarification...I have an airline experience background in addition to a corporate jet TR so hopefully they will consider that.
