Cathay's Proposed C-Scale

Is this new contract to be imposed on pilots hired after January the infamous C-Scale? If so, does anyone know what it entails. I heard a rumor that it would be a common pay scale regardless of Cargo/PAX... in other words the PAX scale would drop somewhat, and cargo scale would go up to meet somewhere in the middle. I don't know any other details though (profit sharing, housing allowance, bonuses). Also, I am unclear if you would forever be locked into the C-scale or if you ever advance to the B- or A-scales. Any thoughts from anyone on this?

The c scale is basically a unified pay scale and you can end up flying I guess pax's or cargo depending on their need. It is a compromise between the pax and cargo scale.

No you never move to the a or b pay scales.

Check out pprune and you can find copies of the new payscales and the old ones to compare.

Incorrect, the Captain scales were unchanged, so when you upgrade you will be paid a B-scale wage but you will remain on Cos08.
