Alaska is your best chance. i would say your second best chance is if you have the right to work in Canada you can fly in BC or the yukon. But it will be faster in Alaska.

You don't need a canadian atpl to fly there . When I was there we had Aussies,Newfies great people they are and what have you . if its a icao licence you have you can go but you need to have a Madivian licence in 3 months you just write the exam . But if you ask me about Male I will tell you to stay home.I hated it, but there are people that I know that have been there for years . Its a nice place if you don;t have to go back too.
My first thoughts were that it has to be a very, very expensive place to live. Not sure what currency they use that may affect that aspect, though.

Currency is Maldive Rufiyaa (pronounced roofiya, or roofies
) and you’ll get about 13 roofies for a buck. It is fairly expensive but only because they cater to tourists. Locals (and you’d become one if you decide to settle down there) use their own shops and it's much cheaper then.
