Possible, but unlikely.

Also, isn't the captain giving his crew conflicting orders? Why are they pulling when he tells them to not go up? Does this indicate that the captain was panicking as well?

-Without time stamps and correlation of the CVR to the FDR, the CVR isn't all that informative. Publishing the CVR is for sensational value only.
-Hard to say, none of us were there, and many of the specifics of what the instruments were showing the crew are still not in the public domain.
-The crew, including the Captain, was discussing how to fix the issue till the end of the recording - pretty professional. Beyond that is pure speculation.

And what are you guys take on Air France Flight 296 and the alleged cover up of that crash? Do you think that a cover up could have taken place here as well?

A cover-up can never be ruled out 100%. At the end of the day, all the supposedly 'doctored' evidence still puts AF 296 much closer to the ground and trees than it should have ever been. There may be an alternate, though highly unlikely, theory on AF 447 too.

So I've heard, anyone to make this statement 100% true?
There is a procedure involving CB's to reset the glare shield A/P control panel. This panel is not the only way, or even the primary way, to disengage the A/P (just like a Boeing). So, I'm gonna' have to wave the BS flag on this one.
