It'll be years before EK hires RJ pilots again. The 50 or so guys they flushed from the pool, were pretty much all RJ pilots.

So in airline speak..........They'll be hiring pilots starting tomorrow and previous RJ experience will be a prerequisite. Ha!

It is all "supply and demand" in this business, the economical upswing will be as high as the economy went down in this so called "crisis" you will see not only RJ pilots hired again but you will also see DEC's hired from the regionals at different places in the world as we saw a couple of years ago and anyone else that has a pulse for that matter, sooner rather than later

I heard the same thing. Blood bath for US RJ pilots. Not a good representation - that's for sure.

That is true. One of my friends at EK said the same thing about some of them not making it through.
Those applicants with previous heavy experience will be the ones who will get the call for interviews.

Wait, you mean my 1000 hours right seat in an RJ won't get me a decent job. But my daddy said I'd be an international captain by 26 y/o.

If a regional flies to Nassau or Canada, wouldn't that make them an "International Airline"??!!! lol
