Great thread on EK life and QOL considerations! TP or bus_canuk, are the mins for FO at EK hard and fast? I've been stationed in Asia and Europe for the past 7 years and nearly all my hours come on international experience. While I don't meet the Total Time mins I'd like to continue on flying overseas and EK is definitely of interest...

Yes, the minimums are hard and fast. That said, apply anyway. Even though you get an auto rejection the application still goes through. Recruiting can, and does, use the statistics to argue for changes to minimum requirements.

BMX go take a holiday and fly with the airlines you are interested in. I purposely schedule flights, with airlines I am interested in, to see their product and find out if it is a company I would be proud to fly with. Give it a try; then decide if you see what you like in service and aesthetics from the cabin crew...
