The last I checked on the website, they are still hiring. BUT my only issue with this is that, I am sure you will have to pay your travel and stay expenses in HKG and from what I can guess it's a chunk of change. So much flight hours that could be otherwise spent on an interview. For guys like myself trying to log one hour at a time, I don't see it as a good investment, but if you got the dough and was invited for an interview, why not give it a shot? Hmm...I don't know though, it would be a really tough decision, a decision, in my opinion should be based upon talking to individuals who are intimately familar with the program...
Speaking of cadet pilots, I am going to apply for the cadet pilot program in program in Sri Lanka (Sri Lankan airlines). Since I am a citizen there, my plan is to give it a shot when I have my CPL and multi. But then again, I know my native country and it's not like I am getting into something that I am entirely not familiar with... |
How much are Cadets paid during the first, second, third years?
How many years for a Cadet to upgrade to FO (as of now)? Just curious. Thanks. --I had the second interview lined up for DESO about 5 years ago. Thought about it hard, but it would've taken away some other opportunities in the U.S. if I'd gone to live in HKG, so I eventually passed. Great career company though! |
Might want to read through this before making any decisions on Cathay cadet program..
