Helios 737 crash video released
On August 14, 2005, a Helios Airways 737 crashed in Greece, killing all 121 people on board. The exact cause of the crash was unknown, but aviation experts speculated that the plane's cabin pressurization system failed early in the flight. It was assumed that everyone on board lost consciousness while the plane continued to fly on autopilot until it ran out of fuel. 2 Flight attendants were still conscious and tried to save the aircraft from crashing. The plane flew the approach did the missed approach and was holding over KEA VOR in Athens until losing both engines and crashing a few kilometers from Athens.
The video from the Greek Fighter pilots has been released, gave me goosebumps ... Gnews f16 - Video  |
You can see the Flight attendants enter the cockpit ..
One of them graduated Oxford Flight Training in UK and had his CPL. |
Unfortunately the video is in Greek so sorry for any inconvenience ...
Basically the pilots of the F16s can see people entering and leaving the cockpit ... the fighter pilots voice at the end makes me cringe. |
