I could also be that a few of the middlemen are starting to dip way to deep into the pot.
A certain agency(s) (with a head employee from the sub-continent) was taking HALF of what the real salary was. When I was told the pay of a certain position of was stunned, then I laughed at him as I hung up the phone. Sad part is, there are certain groups of pilots from the islands of the Pac Rim that would jump at that pay. |
1 quid per day? I think your maid would be making more.
Yup, considering what Lion Air is paying. . . makes me wonder about who buy's tickets on those operations. |

Sorry to be the one to bring this to your attention but the state of the industry right here in the good'ol US of A has made the American pilot "the migrant cheap labor" of the world aviation market. I'm sure the thousands of resumes from US pilots has nothing to do with the degradation of T&C's right? there aren't enough pilots in the Islands and the Pacific rim combined to crew a small company in China, give me a break |

I was trying to be coy about the countries involved but let me lay it out for you. There are quite a few Philippino and Indonesian (not to mention on or two South American countries) pilots that will work for substantially less than what most Westerners will. Problem is, alot of their certificates and backgrounds are contrived at best. In some cases their backgrounds are outright lies. I speak from personal experience with some of these folks and there are more of them than you think. |

I would assume that they didn't want to list the salary but the salary field required some sort of input.
|
So they put 1 pound???? Smart. That'll get the CV's pouring in.
