Any information on TAM Brazilian Airlines??

Fellow fliers,

does anyone have any info on TAM and if they are hiring? Even being low time, I seem to meet all the requirements posted on the website but they are not real clear on wether or not they are hiring. Just curious to see if anyone here works for TAM and can give me some background on the company. PM me if you want to keep it private, I would like to get as much on them as I can. Thanks!

Are you Brazilian? TAM does not (cannot by Brazilian Law) hire foreign nationals to fly for them.

I worked in Brazil last year. I worked on the 135 side. I really enjoyed the QOL and warm Brazilian culture. I was payed better than in the US and equipment was fairly new (since they are buying up all of the aircraft at a good price from the US). I know that there economy is growing (aviation alone is growing roughly 18%) and all the airlines are hiring. They truly have a pilot shortage. You have to be a Brazilian citizen and hold an ANAC license to work commercially. I was there threw a loophole which allows you to be an instructor until a Brazilian licensed pilot can take over. Then your out. If you have your ANAC license and are a citizen I suggest you get in touch with a buddy who is flying down there to drop your resume or get you some contact number. Like the old saying here "aviation is a small community" its even smaller there, you should have no problem.

Why would it matter?

If the poster is male and straight, TAM has hot female crew.
" " " is male and gay, TAM has hot male crew.
" " " is female and straight, TAM has hot male crew.
" " " is female and gay, TAM has hot female crew.
" " " is bi and/or transgender....well, you get the drift.

There was an interview scenario presented at an airline where the candidates were asked to figure out the relationship of the Captain to a passenger on board. Some people ruled out the Captain being female and had a hard time coming up with the correct answer. I can't remember the details though...anyone remember that?

Here it gooes,

I am a Brazilian citizen, speak portuguese fluently, am a straight male who's looking foward to meeting the HOt FEMALE flight attendants and Im looking for info on how to transfer my tickets to ANAC. I hear its a fairly long process with PLENTY of paperwork but if anyone has been through it recently or knows someone who has, please share! Thanks!
