Don't know what he is hinting at. Still made over $600 million last year, despite the high fuel costs. I do not believe that it will affect hiring at all. Aircraft are still coming at a very rapid rate, and are scheduled to do so for quite some time.

I am far from an EK "expert" though ;-)
