You would not want to be a FO in china. Trust me. The captain's life can be a sweet gig, if you can land it and if you can handle a lot of the frustrations.

I am sitting in my hotel room in Shenyang as I type...too funny...winters cold...but today a great 23 C low humidity day....i live in shenzhen where thousands of expats live...great city and next to hong kong.....i would have to have miss chinese unvierse to want to live up here though..
as it stands...shenzhen has a rockin night life....dozens of great clubs to blow it out with foreigners and chinese...(they're all learning to dance...very funny...

Shenyang and Harbin are both filled with Miss Chinese's. Winters are -25-30C every day and the sidewalks are permafrost in winter (8 months). It is so dry that they sweep the snow off the runways with - brooms, not shovels.

Not bad in the summer, but very bleak in winter. Good food year round.

If you are from Canada you will love it. It is OK for the rest of us.

The rest of Chinese advice applies.

This, I keep hearing.

I think BAA (Business Aviation Asia) is hiring left and right seat. From what I hear, both crew members are expats, so it is a more 'normal' position as an FO
