EK now looking at 787 vs. A350 for regional

I suppose the current A330s and older 777s used on regional/African flights are showing their age and it is time to look for replacements. I am hoping the 787 wins out - the fact that the 777x will supposedly share cockpit commonality with the 787 can't hurt.

Unrelated question: does Emirates hire Flydubai pilots or is there a no-poaching rule between the two carriers?

They will probably get the 50 Qantas don't need.

3 year No poaching rule as of now between FD and Emirates/Etihad.

Fwiw, very low interest lately from FD pilots about going to EK, not too sure about Etihad.

Does the 3 year date start from joining Fly Dubai or from the day that one leaves the company?

Starts when your training is complete at FD.
