Working for CX based in North America

I haven't found anything posted about Cathay Pacific in a long time. Just wondering what type of Schedules/Pay/Qol pilots have working for them being based in any US or Canadian base.

Also what qualification do they prefer ?

You will not get a north american base as a new-hire at Cathay right now, and to be safe, you should assume never will.

I read somewhere on APC that being from Australia is a preferred qualification.

They hire second officers only (no actual landings in the plane until upgrade to first officer after something like 7 years), and for Hong Kong base only.
