Incident/accident record
 

I was involved in an incident (no blame attributable to me) some time ago and was wondering if it could affect my application for the big 3 in the Middle East.

Does anybody have experience on the subject? Is it a big No like in China where they ask you for a no incident/accident report?

You will have a better chance to get info on this at PPrune...,I had an accident many years ago where I had a ditching on a 172 I was ferrying. Although in Asia you will see the note "no accidents or incidents" It has never been an issue for me since it wasn't on my airline transport work history but I don't know about the ME.

1. If it is not your fault, nope.
2. Self disclose it in the interview.

Emirates, Flydubai and Qatar ask about incidents/accidents on the online application form anyway so I'll know the answer to my question if I don't hear anything from them...

At EK, incidents/accidents = pilot error.

So if a fuel truck bang onto the side of the plane at the gate with engine shut down and parking paking brake set........still pilot error??

Best bet, get a FAA accident/incident report from your file.

If its there , might be an issue if not your good to go.

I think you can use AC-8060-60 to request that.

sasuke I'm confused now. What do you mean by incident/accident=pilot error at ek? Do you still think it won't be an automatic No if I disclose it?

jackcarlsOn my licence is EASA and unlike in FAA land the issuing authority does not keep or provide accident/incident reports from your file.

asIf they don't keep records of accident and incident, and if for carriers in ME can't get those records or anything then why bother.

But as sasuke said...self disclose it in interview if they inquire too much. But if they call you for interview, most probably they have done they research about your background etc.

Accident /incident =pilot error means you as the pilot made an error that resulted in an accident incident. It was something mechanical related etc it is not ur fault.
