Default Airline/Country with BEST pay

Let me give you a little bit of a background. I am currently in college and starting to look at what job I am going to land when I graduate. I will be in a lot of debt due to student loans and I have been looking around at what airlines pay the most money. QOL aside, which airlines/countries can I expect to pay the most for a young guy like me coming out of college?

Congrats on getting your degree!! Landing an ex-pat job right out of school, and with low time(I assume), your most likely going to have to go the regional route , assuming you can't get a pilot slot in the military(guard preferably).
Pay and upgrade times are similar (or approaching parity) at the large regionals. If It were me, I would go with one of the eagle wholly owned with a flow thru. The flow thru , and value of, has been debated ad nauseum, but it is something to fall back on if you are unable to get hired at another major .
Good luck
Joe

What country are you a citizen? How many hours do you have and what licenses do you have?

I am a US citizen and I will obtain a R-ATP with about 1,000 hours.

I think your best bet is go to a regional until you have the types and time they want, then go to china

I think the original poster is misinformed. You cannot expect to make a lot of money when you are a fresh graduate with little or no experience.
Expat jobs pay mainly when you have the experience.

China pays the most right now (on paper anyway). Make $20,000 a month they advertise, while polluting your lungs in Beijing and other places everyday!

I meant to say I was aware I will have to build hours up until leaving (more than likely regional)

If overseas is where you want to end up, don't go there as an FO. Get your Command, PIC time and then go there. If you go as an FO you may never upgrade and your pay will be significantly lower.

If it's a contract job, remember that contracts can end abruptly. You may be out of work in between gigs. No seniority, no union protection and health insurance. You may have to pay for your own currency in the simulator to keep your home license valid will only be there until they can find a local to replace you.

You can have a much more stable career at home in my opinion if you start young and get in at the right time, which is now!

Great advice, try to get on with a major at home. Especially for us Americans as we are tax exempt only up to what the foreign exclusion allows for, plus no contributions by your employer to your social security if you are overseas. If you do go overseas go as PIC. In order to make the most money overseas you will need to be a CA on the A320 B737 or larger equipment so either way you will have to go to some LCC in the US to get that.
