You're talking deportation on his side and jail time for the "lady" when found out.

Good luck with the Greencard application. 7-10 years buddy.
And officially sponsored visa schemes will have you tied hand and foot to the one employer.
So much negativity in one post.

I didn't encourage any fake marriage. If he finds someone, he finds someone. I was pointing out how difficult it can be for a foreigner to get work in the US as a pilot.

And 7-10 years... not at all. It took my wife 3 months after we got married. We moved out of the country and when we came back, it took less than 5 months the second time. A friend of mine met an American girl and got married, and it was less than 6 months.

And yes, a work visa will tie you to one company. Such is the case in many countries.

You clearly have no idea how long the process takes if you're.....NOT getting married.

Believe me, I am quite familiar. You are right, 7-10 years if you go the H1B to Green card route or refugee to green card route or something similar. For non marriages, getting a green card is very difficult, if not next to impossible for most people.

Default Green card

This is a good option for those who want the green card.
