That, I can see. I've been spinning my wheels, building spreadsheets, etc., trying to figure out where a flying career crunches my style as far as living. The common theme I keep hearing is "don't commute," but there isn't an airline that has a base I have any remote interest in living in. (And when I say commute, I mean the kind you aren't getting paid for.)

Obviously things change and PNS could close, I guess, but the NJ basing practices are certainly novel in the flying industry - and huge plus for me, personally.

Thanks for the other additions as well, I'm open to any info and thoughts. Where exactly the trips are aren't really a factor - other than I can see not having the same "route" every time I go to work being a plus in the long haul.
