The problem with NJA career development-wise is the use of computer programs in screening applicants at the Big3+

Unfortunately, adding ~300 hours a year of SIC time on a <20k plane that is also single pilot typed is not making your application jump to the top.

HR people like NJA pilots because they know Frac guys (in general) are used to doing a lot more work and have top notch customer service skills. Gotta get past that computer first though.

If you are already qualified for an LCC or better but are stuck at a horrible job, then NJA could work. But if your resume is deficient, NJA is unlikely to make you a better applicant on paper.

I completely agree with everything you said. I think the trick is to get some face to face at a job fair to get your resume noticed.

I certainly don't need to build any 121 PIC time, but if I did I agree that a regional would be the way to go. That would be a backward step in both pay and QOL for me though. The question is to stay put where I currently work or accept the position at NJ while I patiently wait for the phone to ring.

Its easy to say the majors are way better than NJ, but that's assuming you have an offer from both, or currently a senior pilot at NJ with an offer from Southwest like the original poster of this thread.

Its not like the big 3 or Southwest are hurting for applicants, yet.

I'm dying to see your reaction the first time you have to roll up the Elite Traveler to push a turd down the lav.

I'm currently flying part 135 on demand and have previous 91k experience. Not my first rodeo. I'll be sure to take a picture of the next pan pebbledash and forward it to you if that's your thing.

Hey, you are touching some of the most prestigious, 1%er poop known to man. Pushing an elite travelers poop down with an Elite Traveler is some sweet irony haha!

It was interesting to see how somebody could actually miss the toilet when pooping, I always thought that took some real talent.

Default Leave NetJets

Ask yourself what is my final goal? I had a long conversation with one of the interview consulting companies the other day. Apparently, Fedex and Delta are not keen on corporate pilots. United and Southwest are more receptive. This is an opinion of someone else, not mine. NetJets growth is stagnant and you will be sitting in the right seat for a very long time (10 years at least). You may want to consider a Regional if you can hack the pay cut. Good Luck! I have done the Regional gig once and am not too excited about considering it again but Corporate has its own set of issues.
