Switching Dimiciles at NJA

Switching Dimiciles at NJA
After reading every post from the last year on NJA, I have seen two very different resposes to this question. If you are hired into say TEB, how difficult is it to bid for your plane in say CMH?
One post said, when hired, you are stuck in that domicile - end of discussion.
Another post said that sometimes the training can take awhile, so once on property you can bid for another domicile. Possibly getting that domicile before completion of IOE. This post also said that the company must accept the bidders into the domicile before they can place a new hire there straight from the interview.
Has anyone done this or seen this done or attempted?

There was a Letter of Agreement added on to the contract to allow FOs already on property to switch domiciles as long as the company posts a bid for an FO slot in a domicile you want or if you can find someone to switch domiciles with that is in the same seat and equipment. CMH and LAX are the easiest to get hired into and there are very few slots for the other domiciles now. I'm guessing there have been less than 20 domicile changes and probably less than 10. If you were hired into one of the harder to get into domiciles and wanted CMH, it would be the easiest change, but if you are in a fleet that either isn't growing or isn't growing fast, there won't be new FO bids for any other domicile to switch into. There is a Falcon FO who wants DAL, but is stuck with LAX for almost a year now. He could have had DAL right away, but they didn't give us the correct information on this at our interviews right away after the new contract and we all thought we could change within the 5 as they could on the old contract. This was very incorrect and now guys are stuck and guys are quiting because of this. There have been at least 40 post contract hires who have quit, mostly due to the domicile situation (at least 11 or 12 have left in 2007 alone). We thought it would be easier to switch, but it has turned out not to work well. I guess it is what it is and it will probably stay that way until a new contract is signed. Things could change, but don't come here expecting it to happen.
