As far as I know the sim hasn't changed. You will get a take off and a landing. The ILS is raw data I believe. If you get a lead sim you need to be on the trim because there is no hydraulic assist. But it is a non event if you use trim.

However, if airlines are your goal, I might go to the regionals, get the 121 time, upgrade in 2 years and move on to the majors.
Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for everyone's good advice. I'm really not sure what I want. I've been flying for over 21 years with lots of 121/135 time and have held almost every job in aviation except for crop dusting. To be honest, I'm burnt out.
I have my stuff in for the majors of my choice but until they call I have to work somewhere.
Unless there is a aviation job that allows it's pilots to show up in shorts and sandals, work 9 to 5 3 days a week, get paid $120k a year with free health care, I'm not sure there is a culture I really identify with, there'll all just jobs.
I do have a great chance at flying for Kalitta which I would really enjoy as I flew for Evergreen back in the day. The only problem is a Flexjet offer would make it harder to pursue Kalitta.
My crystal ball is broken darnit-all.

already burned out you would be nuts to get involved with this. A little research will save you a lot of frustration down the road.
