Wow-sounds like a disaster. Can’t imagine many don’t have apps in at regional and major airlines. I wonder if their passengers really know or understand their pilots may have been sitting in the private jet terminal the past 10 hours before a 4 hour trip.

No different at NJA. The company calls their schedules CC for "crew choice" yet the pilot has no ability to pick the days he/she works. Scheduling just piles it on until you fatigue. These companies have figured out to do so much with less, that they will never be able to turn a profit if they staffed properly.

Rather then trying to smooth things out management just turns up the toxicity with every email or text message.

I know RH was sending out emails to the Flex pilots bashing the Options pilots. Anybody have any quotes from RH?

Run,run fast to anywhere but here. The union is about to get the boot and double N Kenn is gonna continue to abuse crews except his RedLabel chosen few. They make great $$ and are completely blind to the real world. New hires are leaving and many of the others. The old guys have no where to go and there are so many "captains" out of seniority that were upgraded so as to "buy" their vote to boot the union. There is NO upgrade opportunities except for the few 1998 and 1999 hires on to Red Label but only due to the MCBA. Fatigue is rampant as evidenced by incidents and accidents.

Sorry, reviving an old thread..... How much of the original post back in 2018 is still true? It was a candid post back then.

Has much changed in the last two years or still the same from a QOL perspective?

I would also be interested in this question.

Also, I know at some other large 135 operators you can use your own credit card, and are given hotel options in some cities if they are in the same price range (and you prefer one brand to the other).

Does Flexjet offer this option?

I’ll chime in. Ex 15 year regional rat. Flexjet is nothing like the original poster expressed. Do you do extra work that us 121 guys aren’t used to, yes. We clean, load bags and stock catering. My first few rotations where rough but I got into the swing of things. Is this job better then any regional? Hell yes!, I came from ExpressJet and will never look back. Interactions with scheduling, dispatch, maintenance control are so much more pleasant. I have never ever been pressured to push an MEL. On my fleet everyone I talk to treats you as you treat them. Kung flu sucks but flex has made the best of it. There will always be sour grapes on a vine. There are way more happier pilots here then negative ones.

to the above Flexjet has company cards that all interactions go thru. You keep all the points from airline, hotel, and car rentals. You can request a hotel chain but no guarantee. Every time I ask for a enterprise rental car 9/10x I get it.

edit... I have never showed early at an FBO to sit. Sucks you have to wake up early and hope for an email saying you’re hotel 90 or give a simple call to dispatch. The old is out with the new.
