Default Flexjet decert

Rumor has it frank n beans and the decert bunch will file this week. If the union is voted out, will you lose your duty pay for airline to and from work? The FOM states airline is not duty and management tried to take pilots off duty for travel home. The only thing that stopped them was the contract. It says travel is duty. What other contractual provisions and pay will you lose if the union is voted out?

With the way this place operates, I'm worried about losing the ASAP program. Did Flex have an ASAP before? Yes, and the pilot reps were all company men. So what did that mean? Generally, the pilot was at fault, with retraining required. Don't worry, the letter only stays in your file for 3 years.

The decert guys claim they have the votes for a decert. This place already has morale problems but going back to an at-will employee is not an option with this management team. Am I willing to throw away 18 years to start over somewhere else at the bottom of the list? YES! My resume is out. The only way I stay here is improved work rules and a big pay raise. Ricci thinks a "trapped employee" won't throw away 18 years, but he really has no connection to his pilots(except the FOK's).

What is the definition of "direct relationship with management"? Fwoelke says that a lot, but what does it mean? Are they going to call me personally every time a decision is made that affects me?

Default Losses if Union goes away!

1 Back to answering phone after 10 hours of rest

2 You eat when we say you can eat!

3 3 am day one starts no OT

4 only get OT on day 8 (or last day) when going over 16 hours or get home after 3 am.

5 No more 14 hour duty day on last day.

6 Domiciles change at will.

7 Potential loss of 401K at will. (IBT actually helped company during the recession by loa taking it away but it was supposed to come back when company was health. K refused)

8 Potential out of seniority furloughs (ie everything's on the table)

9 Notre Dame band gets another 5 million dollar donation on day of a furlough

10 Deanna White comes back! Oh wait, she wasn't supposed to leave and there were to be no changes!

You are wrong about number 8. Furloughs will no longer occur. It will be permanent "reduction in Force. The RIF will be back.

Don’ forget “Slide to Poverty” pay system.

For those who don’t know. It is a system that Kenn Ricci thought of where after 10 years as a Phenom FO when you can finally upgrade to captain you go back to Year 1 captain pay. Then work your way up. Each time you change aircraft you go back to year 1 pay.

The union contract stopped that.
( I can’t believe there are pilots who want that system back)

You see it already started in the IRL program where it states “years in program”

Any truth to the rumor the decert crowd is claiming NJASAP will brought in as the union?

If so, that is entirely incorrect.

I really hope the majority over at Flex don't fall for this and vote out the union.

This rumor was floated when I was still at QS. It is against the bylaws for NJASAP to represent any group other than NJA pilots.

However, the Flex crowd has forever and a day been the most anti-union group that I have ever met. Their gullibility was unbelievable and their faith in Montreal was borderline insane. I wish everyone there the best but Karma is a MF'er.

If you don't have a felony or a recent failure I'd recommend going anywhere else. But, it's your funeral.
