Default Fleet reduction at Flex/Options

The Legacy 600 and the CL-604/5 are being retired. Good news for the pilots, because they are covered under a CBA and can bid for another seat. Not so good news for the Flight Attendants. As of 4/15/2018, all F/As in those fleets are terminated. They have no CBA, and therefore can be terminated. Originally, it looked like they wouldn't get any severance, but the optics of that forced the company to offer one year of compensation. They could have given 3 months like the pilots got(room for improvement in the next CBA), but the company is trying to give the false impression that they would be more generous without a contract. Fool me once...

Hey, but those Flex Guys don't need a contract or a union. Benevolent Ken Ricci is going to take care of them. LOL

What happens to the pilots in those fleets if the union is decertified? My guess is that those who are not friends of Ken get a worse fate than the flight attendants. That being no severance.

The word from the last sales meeting is the fate of the Lear fleet. While RH says the fleet isn't going away, sales have been slow. The Lear costs more than the Phenom but is faster. Only having 6 seats instead of 8 is really hurting sales. Will Kenn terminate those pilots if we don't have a contract? Or it could be like the old days when you go to a new fleet and you start over at year 1 pay.

Without a Union? You bet.

The decert crew won’t care, they will tow the company line and say it was best for the company. Besides, they got theirs.
