At current rate of upgrades and fleet staffing, the current upgrade time is 7 years for everyone.
It should continue to compress over the next two years and should/could reach 5 years.
I’m not the one posting images of rhino ass. That’s pretty special. Must be a cargo pilot thing.

Even if upgrades went to 7 years. Ok great, 25 years in the Phenom and the same horrible QOL that FOs “enjoy.” Upgrade towns are honestly a small piece of a multi-problem company.

NJ sounds like a dump after reading the threads here. Low pay, milk toast union, 0% chance of upgrading, hitch hike to and from the FBO/hotel, 6-8 leg days, all while picking up after some customer that’s a slob/idiot.
After my phone interview back in Sep-Oct 2017 the HR person called me back the next day for a face to face interview. I politely turned her down for reasons stated in this forum.
She asked about leadership style and methods.
She asked about customer interaction and problem solving.
She asked why NJ.
She asked what I thought I brought to the company.
It’s sad that now the demand for pilots is increasing in the US and pilot groups like NJ, that have held such prestige, are now stuck in a contract that quite frankly stinks.
Before you agree to a job flying those shiny jets, go sit at a Signature or Atlantic and talk to some of the guys and girls on the line.

How many FOs are there? 689ish
Divide that by 8 captains. 86 months
Divide that by 12 months for an easy number of 86 is too large a number for you.
7.17
Frequently on many of the boards, this type of seniority projection is used.
Add in the age 70 retirement age and that estimated upgrade will actually drop.
A lot.
I’m sorry to say (no I’m not) the long way is over and upgrades will be steady for the next 10 years... easily.

Long time listener, first time caller:
Although your simple math is a great recruiting tool from a guy that lives a very different life then 90% of the pilot staff at Netjets (SDP, build your own schedule, extended day *#%*@&), it is missing a lot of facts.
Netjets let the pilot staff slip from about 2800 to 2438 in the last 3 years.
This year Netjets even with hiring has Netted a -2 pilots so far (January list has 2440 pilots on it).
Current pilot/plane ratio is where Management wants it.
Netjets is currently at a 68% PIC/SIC ratio,l (we end up with about 780 FOs making Flylow’s math off by at least 1 year), Management has said that this is higher then what they want, but they feel bad for FOs and are “upgrading 8 a month indefinitely.”
They are only planing to hire another 80-100 pilots this year, and attrition is proving to be at or higher then that.
So, at 8 a month for 6 months without adding FOs, we are looking at an PIC/SIC ration of around 72%, after 12 months it will be 75%.
Also, we are supposedly “adding” more planes to increase to 430ish on Certificate, but hiring is not supposed to do more then previously advertised.
This next part is opinion:, I don’t see anyone doing math on any board using anything but ratios of pilots to planes or PIC/SIC, so I don’t know what fantasy land Flylow is living in.
