There’s more stipulations than that, but it doesn’t solely hinge on furloughs.

Good for him/her. I was literally mocked when I announced that I was departing. I guess a majority of the seniority list is seeing the light now.

NJA has a pretty jealous pilot group that surfs the MB. On our MB, whenever somebody announces they are leaving, it’s literally 100% congrats posts. Not a single person starts crap. Maybe it’s because we don’t have a Leiber. When you leave NJA he calls you a bridge burner.

This is actually incorrect. The language says that if the ratios get above the threshold as a result of furloughs OR two consecutive bid periods, they can downgrade. Guess what last month and this months upgrades count as...

In some ways I'm glad I went out on medical, this is one of them because after my 3 years LTD is up I'll make basically F/O wages from the Union Harvey Watt plan until I'm 68. (Went out at 60). Getting downgraded won't affect me a bit, I'll still max out the LTD pay. But the company would be wasting a huge amount of money training all these new Phenom Captains only to downgrade them which allows them to go back to larger jets. But again when has wasting money bothered NetJets? And not to mention what that'd do to morale.

What the Travel Gnome Pollard missed is that when pilots leave NJA, they leave. We generally wish them well... unless it’s a really odd departure to somewhere in left field.
When they leave with class, they get congratulated. When they leave with less than tall stature, the goodbye is less than friendly... well... it’s a zestful goodbye.

If you go way back in this thread you'll see how crappy NJA has treated some applicants. They were supposed to have fixed that but I doubt it. A week isn't a lot of time thou. I applied online June 3rd for an American Airlines Sim Instructor job (no medical needed) and haven't heard a peep yet.
Just remember if you get the phone interview it's all about customer service. The customer gets what they ask for unless it violates the Flight Ops Manual or a FAA reg. One example they gave years ago was you're flying a trans-con and pass over Kansas City. The owner sees it and decides he wants to drop in and go get a steak dinner. That's what you do as long as you can stay within the rules.

Here's some preliminary numbers for NetJets Pilot Hiring/Attrition. The mid-month Seniority list just came out. There were 2 new hire classes, both were just inside this month's cutoff dates so that inflated the new hire numbers.
For mid-May to mid-June 15 Pilots left, 17 were hired in 2 classes.
Here's a YTD calculation, numbers not confirmed yet but they sound accurate. They show a net loss of 18 pilots. There are some other numbers that show a net loss of 7 from Jan 15 to June 15.
Jan: Loss 8 and Gain +0
Feb: Loss 10 and Gain +20
Mar: Loss 14 and Gain +12
Apr: Loss 19 and Gain +7
May: Loss 8 and Gain 0
Jun: Loss 15 and Gain 17
