Oh just the simple fact that NetJets isn’t merely a 135 operator. THATS ALL

Ok..

So clearly you’re missing the fact that NJA operates under 91/91K/135 and the rules WILL apply to Part 135 flights, of which we fly many.

Can you link me to the proposed 135 changes? I want to read what you read.

Yep I did. Here’s one of the articles:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/aviation-international-news/2007-01-30/part-135-rewrite-beginning%3famp

All theory at this point and nothing else. Congrats, you have now reached platinum tool status, contact scheduling and extend again to redeem your prize!

Articles are not language.

The language should be out with the ATC Reauth Bill later this summer.

By the way... finding a link on AIN is hardly the way to find accurate news. It’s like an aviation gossip column. Even Ken Rocci gets to buy time there. With pretty color pictures.

Here’s your link.

How long does it usually take from phone interview to actually getting hired? Just for planning...

I think it's about six months on average and then another year before most new hires are running away in horror to any other carrier.

The process has quickened to about 2-3 months for the last group I heard about.

NetJets is so concerned about the number of new pilots leaving that they asked the union to approve higher pay and a 2 year training contract for new hires. Union said we're not helping you out of a problem you're responsible for.

Only reason attrition isn't worse is 70% of our pilots are 54 and older. That's a statistic one of our pilots came up with, I have not verified it but it looks about right. We have 12-13 year F/O's who still can't hold Captain, so lack of turbine PIC time hurts them for leaving. But many airlines are starting to relax the turbine PIC requirement.

We still get new hires because there are lots and lots of places out there that are so bad they make NetJets look like the city with streets paved in gold.

As for your original question, I'd suggest checking aviationinterviews.com and see if they have that info. If they don't let me know and I'll see if I can contact the union member on the NetJets Hiring Committee to find out.
