Default Come to Flex and get stuck

Kenn talks about "trapped pilots" is his book. He describes pilots that can't move on for one reason or another. Currently we are hemorrhaging pilots. We need to expand our pilot ranks by 160 pilots this year! Unfortunately we are currently having a net outflow. What has management done to slow the loss of pilots? They are handing out pink slips on check-rides like candy at Halloween. How can pilots with 10,000 hours with multiple type ratings and no UNSAT's on their record start accumulating UNSAT's faster than free food at the FBO? Just another show of desperation. Glad I have copies of my PRIA record prior to the decert vote.

Unfortunately, a few bottom feeder regionals and even ULCC's have been known or suspected of this practice. But you do have to consider whether the pilot supply/demand has changed the quality of the new-hires, maybe the same old training isn't good enough any more... the regionals have certainly found that out, and the ones that got ahead of the curve and started spoon-feeding early avoided reputations as PRIA-busters

Good to get a copy every year, I actually found an error on mine when I started applying to majors (a checkride I never failed).

Plenty of regionals and legacy/low-cost airlines hiring. SWA, Spirit and JetBlue appear to be fans of fractional pilots. Flexjet Pilots have many options.

DUI's? One good pilot got a pink slip for doing the checklist too slow??? What a joke- except if you were that professional airmen. Can't remember memory items or shoot a single engine ils without going full scale on loc and gs and pass? Only if you kiss ***. This place has gone from a bad joke to a nightmare.

There has to be more to that story. Was this training done at the Bombardier side or CAE?

Of coarse there is more to the story. A Flex check airman giving an Options pilot his ride. While this pilot wasn't a big Union supporter, this was done to send the message of toe the company line or face intimidation. The company is losing the decert vote, and they are getting desperate.

How dare you suggest a Management by Fear tactic such as that, remember, he wrote a book about Management by Trust! 😜 A pilot can put trust in the fact Management will try and instill fear at every opportunity!
