I’m on the outside, however, it appears the only lack of integrity group is eminating from those who see no issue with taking positions, in many cases, well outside of seniority. How does one justify doing so? How do they look one of their fellow pilots in the eye and trust them going forward? Management it seems is playing games with peoples careers/livelihood and some pilots seem to have no issue with them doing so.
“So, you’ve been here only 3 years, however, we see you as a team player so we are going to give you an upgrade over many who have been here for 10 years because, well, they just aren’t team players.”
How does anyone think this is OK? Am I missing something?

However, in a seniority based or contract based environment....it’s not the normal op.

Like you said "a normal business environment." Why is this place constantly trying to cut corners? "Merit" based means rolling duty days, carrying write-ups, and "controlled rest" in the plane. NO THANKS!
