You obviously got your payoff. I'm still waiting.
You whine that you have to do basic instrument instruction, but I can't whine about my compensation? Sounds pretty two faced to me.

You don’t contribute anything to this board other than negative distain for Flexjet. You make it seem like this place is Hell with airplanes. Why are you being this way? Is it to get back at Management? You, and others, are trying to scare away candidates before they apply. What’s the use in doing that?

Well maybe if recruitment wasn't lying through there teeth with "3 year upgrades" when there are pilots here with 13+ years still waiting to upgrade they wouldn't be bashing Flex. Its systematic of the non stop deceitfulness and lies of management. If they can lie to candidates about that they will lie about anything.

No. He and others are trying to present a real picture of what’s happening, and not the nonstop BS brigade claiming pie in the sky earnings and upgrade potential in all the big metal while making sure not to stick it to the man with write ups (wink, wink, nod, nod).

Only you can decide to be happy working somewhere, and some will enjoy the Frac lifestyle, but all the issues being brought up are real. And people need to be able to sign up with their eyes open knowing that those issues are real while deciding whether they want to put up with them or do something else.

One of the mouthpieces already tripped up, as they always do, by practically admitting that you’re expected to carry write ups or be considered a malcontent. But you’re supposed to read between the lines on that.

Congrats on your forthcoming raise and fly safe.

Current regional guy looking into FJ. How is the medical benefits? Solid medical coverage for family is gold to me right now. Also, I noticed quite a big pay difference from 8-7 and the PBS. I would like the higher pay but is there any min days off in a row for PBS or for the month? Or will they work you 5 on 2 off as a junior guy? Also, please don’t lay into me telling me how dumb I am for leaving 121 and yada yada. I realize the risk, I’m doing this mostly for my family qol which isn’t great at the regional and will be worse once I upgrade to make maybe 75-80k a year. Everyone says stay at the regionals until you can get on to a major, well there are still a lot of guys hating life at the regionals with apps out everywhere. Why be somewhere you’re not all that happy with because of a chance of getting a phone call in X amount of years?

If you really can’t stand regional life and don’t think you’ll be hired at a major, go to NetJets if you can. Money, schedule, and especially health benefits are better at NetJets. Flex is...complicated...these days.

Neither are ideal but Netjets is probably the better choice.

There a limits in the PBS system on what they can give you. some depend on which base you choose. but in general the minimum days off are 3, the max days you can work are 6-8 (depending on the base). 14-16 days on per 28 day period, or as low as 12 or as high as 18 if you wish.

But with staffing as low as it is right now expect to work 16 days x 13 bid periods. They need bodies to fill the seats.
