The reality is that you will probably be doing more 7 and 8 day trips than 4 day trips. That is the reality of the situation especially if you are a new hire. Maybe with 5 or 6 years you might get some shorter trips but don’t count on it so that you are not disappointed.

Just to be clear, LAX will keep you away from 7 & 8 day trips. I don’t think it’ll have any impact on your ability to get lots of 4 day trips. It’ll just limit you to 6 max.

Thanks for the help
Can I also assume that I can bid for 15 or 16 days a month on PBS? That whole talk about 8/4 doesn't sound good.

Much appreciate the info. LAX sounds like a plan, and yes I've heard about the 300 "bait and switch." I flew the Phenom before, and sweating like a pig without an APU is not a practice I want to repeat. Will hope for the Challenger.

If you mentioned that you had time in the Phenom 300 that could have sealed it for you since we had many Phenom new hires bust their initial rides. I was told one whole class of 6 all busted. If you have some experience that is a big plus for you and you could sail right through training.
