Smile Real salaries with Flexjet

In the indoc letter they talk about the preferential bidding system (PBS) and 8on 7 off. They enclosed this chart and I does not make sense to me. Could someone please explain this. What id Fly Right under bonus? How does the bonus system work?

Thanks for your help with this.

Fly right is a quarterly fuel bonus of $500 (recently upgraded to $1000) Basically fly the profiles and you get the payout based on fuel savings. As for the PBS perf bonus listed above, I can’t be sure if that is currently being paid out, sorry.

That’s about the only bonus the current group gets with exception of Red Label, which doesn’t matter to New hires since you cannot go right into it.

You also won’t be able to hold 7/7 or 8/7 off the bat, so count on PBS.

Arrggggggggg!!!!

Only Flex/Flops would include per diem in a total compensation chart.

ATTENTION RICHARD CRANIUMS:

Per Diem IS NOT compensation. Nor should it be listed as such.

Carry on.

PBS is a daily pay rate system. Year one pays $355 per day. You can work anything between between 12 and 18 days per 28 day bid period. Looks like to get to the $71k number they are figuring an average of 15.53 days per bid period. So if you work that much, then that is accurate. The fly right bonus is paid out quarterly (recently raised to $1000/q) and is based on fuel burn averages. Most people get that. The performance bonus I’m not on sure on. If I remember correctly in the non red label fleet you are eligible for up to 10% salary bonus based on a few company wide metrics (safety, etc.). I don’t think anyone has ever gotten the full 10%.

Do you work for Flex? If so, you would know that you do spend a dime of your own money on the road for food of any sort.

This is not true.

You get reimbursed for expenses (including tips) and a dinner. You do not get reimbursed for breakfast, lunch, Starbucks runs, bottles of water at the hotel, vending machine lunches when the catering doesn’t show... there’s no way you can go a week without spending a dime. You’d have to be very lucky with catering and hotels to not need any extra food or beverages all week. And also never drink a beer after a long days work.

1. Didn’t mention anything about beer, said food. Wouldn’t be very smart for an airline to supply you with alcohol.

2. You can cater a meal every flight.

3. Never been to a hotel that didn’t give me a bottle or two of water upon check in with the status we all have.

4. You’re right concerning a Starbucks run, hopefully you can afford the $2-$5 dependent on order.

5. You can use the company CC for nightly dinner which means you do not need to be reimbursed yet it’s paid directly by company (nothing out of your pocket).

My day 1/2 of this tour:

-First class airline seat with breakfast
-Catered lunch for flight at 2
-Dinner on company credit card
-Catered breakfast for flight at 9am
-Catered lunch for flight at 1230
-Dinner on company credit card

Additionally, 2 bottles of water at each hotel with a plethora of water aboard the airplane. Also even had Starbucks K cups for your “coffee run”.

Hmmmm that’s $84 of per diem, unspent...wow, amazing how that works!

You and Fooled2x are 2 peas in a pod, constant bashing man.

🤦🏻*♂️

How is not income when you can use it to pay for everyday things at home? (ie. Bills, Groceries, Gas, etc.)

I work for NetJets, where we get up to 4 crew meals/day and can make it all week without spending a dime. I do not consider per diem as income.
