If upgrades are 13 years right now, then it takes 13 years to upgrade. There is really nothing to indicate with any solid amount of certainty that upgrades will significantly drop in the future.
I agree. There's nothing to indicate with any solid amount of certainty that NJA will even exist in 10 yrs. Assume itís going to be 10+ years and if itís less, itís a bonus. Congrats on WN. Lots of great NJA folks going that way and loving it!

Yea I mean I hope upgrades drop, especially for those who stuck it out. I for one am so glad I got the call when I did, very fortunate and no regrets. Thanks for the kind words, I have feeling lots more NJA pilots will come here and make it their final home, I don't know a single NJA alum that even remotely misses NJA, things are good here.

I am not sure why, but it seems like NJA is surrounded by this idea of selling the future to applicants and even current employees as "it will get better soon" and maybe they will but the last time the company expanded enough to make upgrades less than 2 years, it led to a furlough.

For those guys/gals on the 8/6 rotation, what do you do on the 8th day? Are you flying up until 2200LT?

It really all depends on where your "base" is and where you end up. I'd say 50% of the time I am home by noon on my last day. If I end on my coast I usually just go home. Granted I have done a transcon, repo, then airline home. So there's no real guarantee but they try and make it as smooth as they can. I've never gotten home after 10pm. 9:48 a couple times...... But is what it is.

Go to XOjet while youíre waiting for call from major. Donít make fractional/135 a career path. Itís unstable, very hard work, pay trails majors, and none of this will change in the future. Youíll enjoy the flying and the ppl at XO while youíre there, but the work does wear you down.

ďVery hard workĒ 😂😂

Love hearing pilots of any type refer to the career as being ďhardĒ. Clearly theyíve never worked an actual ďhardĒ job in their lives. Hell, staying at home with kids is 10x harder than being a pilot of any sort. Stop the whining!

Flying a business jet is "very hard work"? I don't think so.

Default FlexJet

The fuel bonus is now $4000 and we also have another bonus that is 10% of your base. Around 96% of the pilots get the fuel bonus.

We also provide free long and short term disability, free vision and free loss of license insurance. My healthcare is around $60 a month and $10 for dental.

I currently have 15 days off in November.

The actual *flying* part is the "easy" part. Heck, that's when we catch a breather. The hor$e $hit surrounding the flying and multiple leg days is yes...exhausting! You've got to do it to understand. Too many "on the road" negatives to list that really add up after 8 days.
