The actual *flying* part is the "easy" part. Heck, that's when we catch a breather. The hor$e $hit surrounding the flying and multiple leg days is yes...exhausting! You've got to do it to understand. Too many "on the road" negatives to list that really add up after 8 days.

Yeah...there are those that have worked a job on the ground and those that haven't. Those that haven't will never understand.

Within the realm of flying jobs, these guys have every right to be honest about what's involved. So what if there are harder jobs out there? Nobody is trying to say otherwise, and I doubt anyone is impressed if you can swing one hell of a hammer. Working a "harder" job doesn't mean you just put up with every future employer's BS!

Been there done that playa. Worked for Lucent Technologies. Installed fiber optics for 12 hours per day. Again. Not comparing ground jobs to flight jobs. I'm just telling the realities of flying "private jets." And how since it's not "labor intensive" (althought it can be with the amount of bags some of these knuckleheads bring, we have to load them) it's an easy job. Far from it.

Why is it BS if it's part of the job description? If someone doesn't want to arrange hotel and rental car accommodations, coordinate maintenance, stock a galley and wait at an FBO for late passengers only to deal with 20 minutes of explaining a delay due to weather, there's 121.
How about trying to explain to the passengers, an hour into the flight, why their catering was never ordered when they ask "where's our food" when the crew had been briefed it wasn't requested?
How about trying to fish a diaper out of the toilet to avoid a delay or large mx bill?
How about finishing your trip at 1300 on go-home day but the crew scheduler puts you on a 2000 airline flight home, just because she can, and you get nothing extra for having to unnecessarily miss dinner with your family?
Show me where any of that is in the job description and I'll be quiet. And I did go 121 because I know my worth and am not willing to sell myself short anymore. We all know there are harder jobs out there, but that doesn't mean 135 pilots should just shut up and color.

I bet you don't miss her and know exactly who she is!

You should go shake your partner’s hand and buy him a cold drink if you think flying fracs is easy. Because your lazy a$$ is working him to death. Because no one who flies 5 legs a day in a Lear, spends 2-3 hours per 5 legs day cleaning and stocking it well, loads and unloads it, gets min rest repeatedly, has 16 hour go home days and has rolling rest courtesy of the change band arrives at the hotel ready to run a marathon. You are mentally and physically beat.
Buh, buh, but it’s not digging ditches for a living. No sh**. Guess what? Digging ditches for a living isn’t nearly as mentally taxing as flying a jet.
The only people claiming Frac flying is easy are the lazy suckers making everyone else bust their butt to cover for them or office trolls who get handpicked scheduling and white glove treatment.

What kind of construction job is that? If you can do a 12 hour day you aren't working that hard. My buddy will hire you -starting Monday. As far as fractional flying is concerned, its only as hard as management helps or doesn't help make it. You can fill in the rest.
