Flexjet vs XOjet comparison help

Good day,
I've narrowed down my interest in these 2 and have interviews lined up with both. There are some gaps I'm trying to fill so if you have information that can help me fill in the gaps, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Don't forget the Phenom 300! We are short about 50 pilots in the fleet. We just had pilots hired in 2000 that upgraded to Captain this month. For the upgrades to be offered after 3 years, they must be expecting a lot more pilots to leave, pilots to bypass upgrade, or not upgrade based on seniority. Did you know a captain in the Phenom hired in 2000 makes $113,500 base pay?

3 year upgrade at Flex seems too optimistic.

Be happy if it is anything under 7 years. Plus any upgrades to Captain will probably be only in the Phenom fleet since there are 18 year Phenom Captains going to the Legacy and Challenger for the money.

There are some guys leaving the FO position on the Challenger to get the Phenom Captain position.

Flying per year is probably 600 hours plus.

Hotels are hit and miss. Lately more miss. Holiday inn Express, Hampton inn but you can still get a normal Hilton Garden inn. Marriotts are few and months apart. Maybe 3 or 4 per year.

It depends are you looking for long term or just to get some jet PIC time and jump to the airlines?

I’m curious why you ruled out NetJets as an option. Is it the long upgrade time? Netjets looks to me to be the best long term option if you want to make flying business jets a career. They offer more schedule options and have better long term compensation.

Either way, perhaps getting more PIC time(if you need it) before locking yourself into a long wait in the right seat would be a good idea just in case you decide you want to go 121 some day. You may change your mind.

Why would Fractional Jet PIC be better than 121 jet PIC aka Regional ?

don't the majors want "the 121 box" checked, at least preferably ?

I think most would agree that 121 PIC is better if your ultimate goal is flying for a major.

XO Guy here. I can't speak to FlexJet. But here's my 2 cents on the XO side.

Additional pay:
Fuel Savings: I'm doing around $2500 a quarter.

Atlantic Bucks: I'll do another 3-4k a year in that.

Upgrade: As soon as you meet the mins. 3000TT, 1500 Turbine, 1500 Multi. There are guys starting the upgrade at 6 months right now. (X)

Uniforms provided by company and lots of other swag clothing.

Health is typical corporate health plan. Nothing great. Nothing awful.

Do have loss of license insurance.

PM if you have any more questions.

Hotels are currently better at XO (from what I hear on this thread.).

Not sure what FlexJet get. But we're almost exclusively Hilton /Marriott. Lowest we will do is HGI / Courtyard.

My only thoughts on Net and Flex is what I read on these forums and interactions in FBOs. Based on that...... Sure seems like a happy pilot group..... :-/

Former NJA guy on the big yellow buses now. 2015 hire with a base of $196k. YTD TT is 250 hours with less than an hour logged in the last two months. Per diem is around $2 or so an hour away from base. Medical is the best in the industry. Trying to figure out why you aren't trying to get on with ANY airline besides F9 is beyond me.
