NetJets new Contract

Can anyone confirm that NJ is about to bring a new contract to the pilots with significant work rule changes and SIC raises? Heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend...........etc.

An IBB is in the works. The company came to the union and said they were serious this time about coming to the table. Why? Because one reason is over the last 2-3 years, the new hire pilots aren’t staying so it’s actually costing them money. Also, I hope they get increased retirement plans and pay raises. They work harder than the airlines and deserve it. There are a lot of great people at NJA.

Let’s just say, I’m not holding my breath...

It's not likely that base wages will change at all, for either seat but we'll know for sure in the next 2-3 weeks.

SIC raises? Needed BIG TIME to stop the exodus considering loooooooong upgrade times and attractive 121 packages.

Does this friend of a friend have the initials JL and believes in ponies and balloons? 🤣🤣

Seriously the pilot group deserves it but it ain’t gonna happen. Management is not going to pay more money out unless their hand is forced. Retired airline pilots are heading over in droves, classes are filled and overall attrition is low. There’s no reason to shorten duty days and improve QOL when so many pilots refuse to fatigue and take care of their mental and physical states. Until the metal stops moving for any reason, like they cannot fill classes, attrition becomes unmanageable, and these pilots stop flying half comatose, nothing real is going to happen.

I would say since hiring started again in 2015, the highest attrition rates are from FOs hired since then.

The only way post 2015 hires will get any significant improvement is if the company does it on their own. Njasap will sell the FNGs out yet again. That said, I hope to be proven wrong.

100% agree. I’ll add that retired airline pilots, or just anyone over 65, are making things difficult for everyone at NJA, especially pilots. An age limit is/was desperately needed for many reasons beyond just having to change diapers. And these ppl are not coming here for the money. They want the “adventure” of flying that they missed out on during their airline careers. And there’s the medical. etc etc.

The only way those hired 2015 and later will see any big improvement is if the company does it on their own. Njasap will sell them out just like what happened with the current cba.
All that said, I truly hope I am proved wrong.
