I wonder if being an FSI Instructor hurts your chances of getting hired at NJA since FSI is so short staffed and both companies are owned by Berkshire Hathaway. NJA is even letting F/O's train as FSI Instructors to help cover the shortage.

I got the phone interview at 2050 TT MIL
1800 PIC, 1100 MEL, mostly Jet (f-18, t-45) with some turboprop
They told me I don’t have about hours (2500 is min) even though fedex , ual, and ups were going to interview me.
Their mil
Multiplier put me At 2400
And change... still not enough

I am with a 135 operator at the moment but looking to go to NetJets as soon as possible. I have just over 2100 hours and wondering what the likely hood of getting hired at NetJets is, right when I hit the 2500 mark. I have about 1000 hrs sic time at the moment with the majority being jet time. In other words, while 2500 is the minimum, will I be competitive?

Netjets is on another high level than UAL/Fedex/UPS. Someday those carriers will learn to do things the NJA way.

With the Flight Duty Pay Program NJA greatly reduced the need for pilots since so many are flying a lot more now. And the upcoming AQP will reduce the need even more. So only a trickle of hiring for now, makes it a lot more competitive.
But our crew ratio is slowing coming down. I saw some estimates that'd have us at 5.2 pilots per jet by the end of the year because of fleet growth. Contract requires a ratio of 5.0. So most likely by early next year we'll be at the point where they have to replace on a 1 for 1 basis any attrition, and hire 5 pilots for every net gain in fleet size.
