Planesense

Does anyone have any info on what’s going on at Planesense lately? New jet orders? QOL? 7/7 schedule trial?
Thanks

I will speak to QOL as I'm not one to complain on the forums too much. It's fantastic if you like travel, don't mind last minute changes (don't get your heart set on that particular overnight...but it's cool, there are buffalo wild wings everywhere) don't mind having your circadian rhythm messed with from time to time, you're unmarried, (or have a VERY independent and forgiving spouse) and you just keep your head down and get to work as a starting FO. You will be rewarded with rental cars on overnights, hotel points, great hidden lunch spots (no terminal food) a pretty quick upgrade spot given the industry ATM, and a great group of pilots to work with (almost none of them post on this thread, keep in mind).

As for jet orders and jet flow, that's always changing. We currently have 3 of the 6 ordered PC-24s and the 4 Nextants all of which fly a good deal.

The trial 7/7? Personally it was offered to us, but I haven't heard feedback on anyone who's taken it yet. That said, I was home once during my last 8 day cycle, and day one was home standby, so....ymmv.

I've said this so many times to people, and on here; it's a great place to work, and just like any other operation you're going to have people complaining no matter what. Not enough people on here come to say positive things, unfortunately.

Feel free to PM with any questions.

If an FO upgrades to CA before his 18month contract is up, does that mean they are only then reasonable for the new CA contract or do they compile ontop of each other?

tanker 09-21-2019 02:27 AM

Management just announced that they are doing away with the 12 month upgrade contract.

Blackbeek 09-21-2019 05:54 AM

Any news on the 7/7?

tanker 09-21-2019 06:09 AM

That there are 7/7 schedules available for interested PSM pilots, and they will be available for the foreseeable future.

Blackbeek 09-21-2019 07:07 AM

Thanks for the reply.

Glad to see they brought the 7/7 back. I was really disappointed when it was taken away from us in 2012. I can still hear Everette Clark to this day... "it's just one extra day on"

Daily operations question?

At Planesense is the crew responsible for catering for each leg for the customers?

Is there much flying past midnight?

Do they pay all of health insurance for pilot?

Thanks
