Default Eagle to Netjets?

Pros/cons.

I can see myself at either a major or fractional. Fractionals are starting to look better and better to me.
Just not sure if loosing travel benefits and lower top end pay is entirely worth it.

Two different answer. Depends on two factors A: Do you commute? B: Your age?

If you are a commuter and 50Years old or older go to NJA.
If you are a commuter and younger than 50 years old you could get to mainline. That’s a toss up

Non commuter younger than 50 go to Envoy.

If your goals mainline Envoys a great way to get there pain free. However if this is a second career for you and you have the love of flying in your blood NJA is a great opportunity.

I came from 135 and found the flying to be more challenging.

Cabo, Aspen, Telluride and Sun Valley are a lot more interesting than Tulsa, Providence and Grand Rapids..

I would go to flex jet for a faster upgrade and more money but ymmv.

Younger than 50. Dont commute. Currently at Envoy. Looking for positives and negatives to switching to NJA.

Flew "regional"(ACMI-pax in 50 seaters) 7 years, 91K for 8, now at NK for the last 6. Really liked the flying better, but the schedule and paycheck are WAAAYYY better where I am now. Had a friend that left NJ after 12 years to start over at NK. How long before you flow?

Me, Myself and I would stay put, but I do miss the complementary breakfast and the never ending miles&points that status gets you.

Short version is if your at Envoy and not commuting life should be bearable. Soon you will be a captain. The financial issues if any will go away. In 3-5 years you will have a guaranteed path for success. The real comparables of what your asking is small.
Let’s look at 5years from now.
You will get a ticket to work at NJA/ Envoy You live in base so that can’t be a factor.

You will be a FO at NJA basically making the same as a Captain at Envoy. So that will be a non issues.

Depends on the reality of flow if it’s 5-7 years you will be getting a slot at AA. Soon..
Hopefully at NJA at 7 years you may get Captain.

So far not much difference in compensation.

Year 10
AA- guaranteed 16% retirement contribution and roughly 180k-200k not a bad life
NJA- Not quite up to speed on Retirement contribution but I hear it’s good. Roughly 150-200k.

I hate to say this but your in a position flip a coin. But it’s a good place to be. Only thing I can say is you have time in service at Envoy.

The big money difference will be year 11 (5 year flow, 5 year upgrade YMMV), when he upgrades at AA and makes $280K minimum.

I still know guys who haven’t come close to schedule with upgrade at AA with almost 20 years in.

That, and they are all part of one big 4 way happy family in the pilot SLI.

Not. 😬

A pilot can make well over $300k flying a XL at NJA after upgrade in today’s dollars and put great money towards retirement. Our upgrades are still at 13 years (which we’re fixing) but I can’t imagine 20 years. Once the current list of FOs at 13 years are upgraded, the wait should drop to 6-7 years. That’s better or equal to any major unless your considering LGA or JFK with strings at the majors.

I don’t understand the “better money at Flex” comment either. Flex has always waited until NetJets negotiates a deal with its pilots and then comes out with a wet toilet paper version for itself.

I would love to see some regional airline background continue to consider NetJets.

That background has solid skills working in the airspace and handling high energy workload.
