At Netjets for half a year, the most negative and disgruntled Netjets pilots seem to live, and express themselves, on this forum. Have not heard anything like the negativity I read here in real life. I guess guys i meet at the FBOs and in the cockpits must all be liars and double face then because they've all been positive.

As far as work vs. reward, last 7-days FDP $2G, previous 6 days FDP $1,9G. before that avg FDP per tour $1,200. Life's so tough.

There's a room left to improve QOL and definitely space to add more $, especially on the 7/7 base pay but the pilots whining and crying on here, painting such a negative image of the job at the company make it a bit laughable. First World people problems.

That is almost 30 hours of flying in a tour, that is A LOT OF FLYING!! Especially in the corporate world where you have multiple other responsibilities. To make any real money you have to work like this. One of the reasons I left. If a person doesn’t mind working long duty days, flying 700-800 hours a year in a corporate setting, short layovers (on average), then it can be a good job, no doubt. Personally I like my 1-2 legs a day and off to the Hotel for a fairly typical 24 hour layover, flying 400 hours a year working on average 11-12 days a month, crediting 80 hrs/month average. There is no right or wrong answer. One thing is clear at least in my situation. I am working less making around the same amount of money without being a capped 14 year Captain, accumulating a nice pension on top of a 12% contribution. This is not balloons and ponies, this is real life situation. If I would still be at NJ I’d probably be content with all the changes, definitely an improvement. Both good jobs. My QOL has improved, not everyone might have same experience.

A few months ago there was another guy on these boards who was new to NJA, waxing poetically about the place. He said he only worked a few months a year and was making a ton of money etc etc etc. A short time later his tone had changed as he was let go because he called in sick.

Short time results rarely are the same as long term. ....it’s still a wait and see proposition IMO.

Of course it’s wait and see. APC profiles, “friends” opinions and appearances aren’t always what they seem. The first true observation of a new company comes oftentimes after IOE is over and the confetti stops falling; the parades over.

Ask a Feb 2019 SWA hire what they thought of their earnings in 2019 due to the MAX issues. Hell, as a 25 year Captain their opinion.

They’ll recover... and thank goodness. SWA is a fine company with fine people working there but nobody could have told you this extended cramp would have occurred in their earnings.

Of course it’s wait and see.

Default Current paychart

Does anyone have a current paychart for Netjets? think the one on APC is a few years old.

Add 3% to listed base wages for the raise last month.

Sucks for those junior in seat. I wouldn't feel too sorry for the rest of us. I still easily made more as a fourth year FO than I would have as a maxed out NJA Captain. Even in a very senior base I'm driving to work and holding weekends off. Captains if they desire can still double an NJA salary. The biggest impediment to SWA's expansion plans were a lack of available aircraft. With all of the recently cancelled orders, when they are re-certified my guess is the growth will be epic. Glad to see the improvements at NJA! It's all good let's hope it keeps going for all of us.

Earnings at SWA are based on longevity, seat and seniority. And you’re not a captain there.

Earnings at NetJets are based on many more variables and frankly it’s more about how much exposure to the schedule you make yourself. The rest just happens as scheduling opportunity allows for. Some months there’s opportunity. Some not. You bid your schedule and have other selected options like PTO sell back, longevity bonus or working holidays that add up. And they do add up.

The pay range is pretty wide based on many factors.
