Name me one company that hasn’t screwed over its pilot group one way or another during a MAJOR recession.

So yes your comment is true, but it’s also very moot.

Not saying it is unique at all. Somebody made a statement, it was factually accurate. That’s basically where it should lie. I don’t think the original poster of the statement was inferring that no other pilot group has ever been screwed over by management before lol.

I was furloughed and not once did I feel I got screwed. The company attempted to avoid it and new management thought furlough was better business wise. It sucked but not once did I feel I got screwed. Nothing nefarious about it.

The company has contractual obligations, nothing more.

By the way, I participated in furlough mitigation scheduling and still got furloughed and pretty much knew I would. If you didn’t see it coming....well....

Well, I guess I feel that it sucks for you. If the company tells you to do something OR you will be furloughed, then furloughs you after you do what they ask for, is kinda screwy in my opinion.

These things tend to happen when top management gets replaced with bean counters.
