Cool Just look further down the page

Just a little further down this page, you will find the Nicholas Air thread that may answer some of your questions... I don’t know anyone currently working there, however, we have hired several of their alumni. Maybe one of them might chime in....

Great people there, they don't tell you there's a training contract that's not prorated in interview, you find out first day of class. Must work a lot of day off to get extra pay as well. Training contract renews if/when you go to recurrent. Lots of gimmicks I don't think you'll anymore, goal is to try to force you to stay etc. I think the office staff is very nice and work with what they have.

Not sure how you got that from the brief. Lots of operations have training contracts. If the guy wasn’t qualified to watch the jet at cruise when the pic took a potty break then wtf was he doing in the right seat? Sound like a very snowflakeish way to get out of a contract.

Sad part is they don't tell you your going to owe then 35K without any reduction over time till your sitting in indoc. Another contract to go to recurrent and minimum of 60 day resignation period. Gimmicky in todays environment, was warned on my first paring by other pilots I flew with. If you change airframes no PIC type, just SIC to lower market ability. Nice guys though.

Does the company procedures manual still state that it is subject to change at any time without notice at the discretion of the company owner? People should pay very close attention to that if it does. That’s their carte blanche to back you into any corner they can create. 60 days notice? Used to be 90 days. There’s quite a few former employees who received notices via registered mail that they were in violation of company policy and were not eligible for rehire for failing to give 90 days notice even though they had satisfied their training promissory note. Apparently even giving 87 days notice wasn’t enough to get out of there unscathed.

Dude, save yourself the hassle and grief and just go to a regional with a flow to a major. You could be an American, United or Delta pilot earning BIG bucks in 3-5 years with a flow. Just do it and never look back…
